Polavaram Begins Re-verification of 40,004 Voters
Officials in Polavaram district are checking some voter records again.
The re-check covers 40,004 voters.
The group includes people listed as absent, moved away or deceased, as well as people found ineligible during an earlier review.
Officials say they have already visited homes and checked records.
Some people who received notices were found eligible to vote, while others were found ineligible.
Booth Level Officers are now visiting homes again to verify the records.
People who are eligible but missing from the list can apply using Form-6.
The final voter list is expected on October 16.
Eligible people can still apply to be added after that list is published.
Polavaram district began fresh house-to-house re-verification of 40,004 voters on Thursday.
The group includes voters identified under the Absent, Shifted and Death category and people found ineligible during scrutiny.
Officials identified 39,928 voters in the ASD category; notices were issued to 16,182 and enquiries were conducted.
Of those enquiries, around 15,100 people were found eligible and 1,077 ineligible.
The final electoral roll is due on October 16, and eligible citizens can apply for inclusion using Form-6.
