Perimenopause Awareness: More Women In Their 40s Seek Medical Help For Hormonal Changes And Symptoms · freepressjournal.in

Some women in their forties start to feel different in their bodies as they enter a phase called perimenopause, which happens before menopause.

During this time, their bodies make fewer hormones, and they might have irregular periods, hot feelings, trouble sleeping or mood changes.

In the past, many people thought these signs were just stress or getting older.

Now, more women are learning about perimenopause and asking doctors for help.

In the Indian state of Maharashtra, special menopause clinics checked more than 31,000 women in less than a month.

Doctors can give treatments like hormone replacement therapy, which helps many women feel better.

A 42-year-old woman in Navi Mumbai said that after treatment, her sleep, mood and energy improved.

Doctors also say eating well, exercising and managing stress are important parts of feeling better.
