Sri Lanka Announce 15-Member Squad for Asia Cup Title Defence

Sri Lanka's women's cricket team is getting ready for a big tournament called the Asia Cup.

The team will play in Dubai, a city in the United Arab Emirates.

They picked 15 players to be on the team.

Chamari Athapaththu will be the captain, just like before.

Harshitha Samarawickrama will help her as the vice-captain.

A player named Dewmi Vihanga gets to play her very first T20 match for Sri Lanka.

Mithali Ayodhya is back on the team after taking four wickets at the World Cup.

There is even a 17-year-old player named Sanjana Kavindi on the squad.

Sri Lanka won the Asia Cup last time, and they will start trying to win it again against the UAE on August 29.
