West Bengal Forms Anti-Narcotics Task Force

The West Bengal government is creating a special team called the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) to fight drug smugglers.

This team will work with local police and other agencies to stop drugs from coming into the state, especially from Bangladesh.

The team will also look into how these smugglers make and move money.

The decision to form this team was made after a meeting with the central government's home minister.

The team will operate all over West Bengal, except in Kolkata, but will work with Kolkata police when needed.
