Delhi court rejects medical bail plea of former Reliance ADA executive Amitabh Jhunjhunwala · thehansindia.com

A Delhi court decided that Amitabh Jhunjhunwala should remain in custody for now.

He had asked to be released on bail because of medical reasons.

The Enforcement Directorate is investigating him in an alleged money-laundering case.

The court said it was worried that he might influence staff members who could testify.

It also said the investigation is still continuing.

Jhunjhunwala was arrested in April 2025 and has remained in judicial custody.

In a separate case, the Central Bureau of Investigation has accused him of helping obtain a large loan for Reliance companies.

The CBI says the loan was not repaid and caused a major loss to State Bank of India.

These allegations have not been finally decided by the court.
