Hyderabad’s First Biophilic School Opens With Neuro-Inclusive Design
Sagebrook International School is a new school in Hyderabad.
It is designed to help children feel calm, safe and ready to learn.
The school uses sunlight, natural materials and quiet corners throughout the campus.
Children can grow food in a kitchen garden and prepare ingredients in the Children’s Kitchen.
They can also play with sand and observe a koi pond.
The school calls this approach biophilic and neuro-inclusive design.
This means the building is designed with nature and different ways of learning in mind.
The school opened its first classes from Beginnings to Grade 3 and is accepting applications for the 2027-28 school year.
Sagebrook International School opened its new campus in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad, in July 2026.
The campus was designed by school architect Prakash Nair in partnership with Whitgift School UK.
Its design uses daylight, natural materials, quiet spaces and refuge nooks to support children’s self-regulation.
A kitchen garden, Children’s Kitchen, sand pit and koi pond provide hands-on and sensory learning experiences.
Sagebrook welcomed its first students from Beginnings to Grade 3, with admissions open for the 2027-28 academic year.
