Rajasthan OBC Commission submits reservation report to CM Sharma
In the Indian state of Rajasthan, grown-ups are getting ready to hold local elections.
A special group called the OBC Commission studied how many families belong to a community known as OBC.
The group counted families for about two weeks in July using a mobile phone app called Rajdhara Survey.
They found that around 3.63 crore people in Rajasthan belong to OBC communities.
The group gave its report to the Chief Minister, who is the leader of the state.
The report will help decide how many seats in local councils are reserved for OBC families.
Some seats are also reserved for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women and other groups.
A lottery will be held in each district to choose which seats are reserved.
The elections are planned to happen between August 15 and November 15.

The survey estimated Rajasthan's OBC population at approximately 3.63 crore, and was carried out in compliance with Supreme Court directives.
Ward reservations for SC, ST, OBC and women will be decided through district-level lotteries held in the presence of representatives of recognised political parties.
The State Election Commission is expected to announce the poll schedule after August 15, with elections proposed to be held between August 15 and November 15.
Elections will be held in 309 urban local bodies across Rajasthan, and District Collectors have been authorised to complete the ward reservation process.
