Andhra Pradesh plans new Zilla Parishads for reorganised districts

In a place called Andhra Pradesh, the government wants to make new teams called Zilla Parishads.

A Zilla Parishad is like a council that helps run a district, which is a part of the state.

Recently, the state made some new districts, like cutting a big piece of cake into smaller pieces.

But the old councils still look after more than one new district at a time.

The leaders of these councils are called ZPTC members, and their time in office ends in August.

The government wants to create new councils for the new districts before new elections happen.

They will talk to the heads of all the councils to figure out how to do this.

They need to decide which areas each new council will cover and how to share offices and responsibilities.

If new councils are created, there could be many more of them than before.

This will help each new district have its own council that matches its new boundaries.
