Telangana earmarks Rs 600 crore for revenue offices, land survey
The Telangana government is building new offices to help people get government services closer to home.
The government has set aside about 600 crore rupees for these buildings.
A new office for the local land official was started at Elkathurthi in Hanumakonda district.
The building will cost about 3.25 crore rupees.
The government says the previous government created new districts but did not build enough offices.
Now, about 180 such offices will be built across the state.
The government is also changing the way land records are kept.
A new system called BhuBharati is replacing the older Dharani system.
Workers have started measuring land in 70 villages in each district.
They plan to survey every piece of land in the state within two years.
