Amreli gets Rs 403 crore development push ahead of I-Day
Amreli is a district in the Indian state of Gujarat.
It got a big gift of 66 development projects worth over Rs 403 crore.
The projects include roads, water supply, and tourism work.
The announcement happened during Gujarat's Independence Day celebrations.
The celebrations took place at Forward School Ground in Amreli.
More than 200 artists performed songs and dances at the event.

The Governor asked everyone to try natural farming.
He said chemical fertilisers and pesticides hurt the soil and our food.
Seventeen people who helped society were honoured with awards.
Amreli received a package of 66 development projects worth Rs 403.21 crore, e-inaugurated or foundation-stoned by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday.
Gujarat's state-level 80th Independence Day celebrations were held at Amreli's Forward School Ground, attended by Governor Acharya Devvrat and Patel.
Governor Devvrat called for greater adoption of natural farming, warning that chemical fertilisers and pesticides have polluted soil and affected food quality.
Special grants for municipalities and gram panchayats in districts hosting national festival celebrations were doubled from Rs 2.50 crore to Rs 5 crore each.
Eight major bridges worth Rs 193 crore are under construction, and over Rs 5,000 crore has been allocated for development works in Amreli in the past five years.
