Haryana Raises Honorarium and Benefits for Rural Sanitation Workers
The Haryana government has announced more money and support for rural sanitation workers.
Their monthly payment will increase from Rs 16,000 to Rs 18,100.
They will receive back payments for the increase starting in January 2026.
Workers sent to other villages will get Rs 200 for each day of that work.
Their yearly clothing and washing allowances will also increase.
If a worker dies while doing the job, one family member can receive a government job through compassionate appointment.
