INS Tarkash Visit Deepens India-Kenya Maritime Cooperation in Mombasa
INS Tarkash, an Indian Navy ship, arrived in Mombasa, Kenya.
It will stay there for an operational turnaround until October 2.
Indian and Kenyan sailors will meet and share professional knowledge.
The ship will also take part in community activities.
People can visit the ship on October 1.
Before leaving, INS Tarkash will practice sailing with the Kenya Navy.
India says the visit will strengthen maritime cooperation between the two countries.
Another Indian Navy ship, INS Trikand, made a similar visit to Mombasa in April.
INS Tarkash arrived at Mombasa Port on Tuesday for an operational turnaround lasting until October 2.
The visit includes professional exchanges, crew interactions, community outreach and a public ship visit on October 1.
The frigate is scheduled to conduct a Passage Exercise with the Kenya Navy after departing Mombasa.
India said the port call supports maritime cooperation in the Western Indian Ocean and reflects its MAHASAGAR vision.
The visit follows INS Trikand’s April operational turnaround in Mombasa, which included training exchanges and community activities.
