Bittu Thanks Governor for Positive Report on Hawara's Parole
A long time ago, a leader named Beant Singh was hurt and killed by a man named Jagtar Singh Hawara.
Beant Singh was the grandfather of a politician named Ravneet Singh Bittu.
Hawara has been in prison for the last 31 years.
Now, Hawara's mother is very old and very sick — so sick that she is currently semi-conscious.
Hawara asked to leave prison for a little while, which is called parole, to visit her.
Many people thought Bittu would say no, because Hawara hurt his grandfather.
But Bittu surprised everyone by supporting the request.
The Governor of Punjab also agreed and sent a positive report to the central government.
The Chief Minister of Punjab asked for 10 days of parole for Hawara.
Bittu met the Governor to say thank you, and now Hawara is likely to get permission to see his mother soon.

Hawara, who assassinated Bittu's grandfather and former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, is likely to get parole to meet his ailing mother.
Punjab Governor Kataria sent the positive report to the Union Home Ministry on humanitarian grounds.

Bittu said he had been in touch with the Governor for the last 10 days, while the Governor had been in touch with the Union Home Ministry for the same period.
