Wanaparthy Intensifies Drug Control and Road Safety Measures
Officials in Wanaparthy are taking stronger steps to stop drug abuse and road accidents.
The District Collector gave these instructions at a meeting with the district police chief.
Schools and other educational institutions will be watched more closely for drug-related problems.
Medical shops selling certain medicines without prescriptions may face action.
So far, 52 shops have been checked.
Twelve shops were found violating rules, and 10 lost their licences.
Officials will also remove illegal structures near highways and stop unauthorised parking.
Police and other departments will use committees and CCTV cameras to improve safety.

Fifty-two medical shops were inspected, violations were found at 12, and 10 licences were cancelled.
Authorities were told to remove highway encroachments, curb unauthorised parking and file FIRs against repeat offenders.
