Tight security covers Vijay’s Madurai visit, routes and venues
Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is visiting Madurai on Monday.
Police have prepared extra security at the airport and along the roads he will use.
Officers and sniffer dogs are checking important areas.
Vehicles entering the airport are also being checked.
Drones are not allowed during the visit.

Vijay will visit a hospital, the Gandhi Museum and the Government Tourist Office.

After that, he will fly back to Chennai.
Tamil Nadu Police have deployed a five-tier security arrangement at Madurai airport for Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s visit.
Security personnel, sniffer dogs, vehicle checks and barricades will control access at the airport and along the convoy route.
Drone flights are prohibited, and traffic restrictions may be imposed as the convoy moves between venues.
The programme includes the Thaai Maaman Gold Ring scheme launch and the reopening of the renovated Gandhi Museum.
Vijay is scheduled to visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple at 5 p.m. before returning to Chennai.
