Five Singareni Workers Injured After Air Tank Explodes at Mine

Five workers were hurt at a coal mine early Thursday morning.

The accident happened at the Adriyala Longwall Project in the Ramagundam-III area.

An air tank exploded while the workers were doing their jobs.

Other workers quickly brought them out of the mine.

They gave the injured workers first aid.

The five workers were then taken to Godavarikhani Area Hospital.

Their condition was reported to be stable.

However, they said they were having hearing problems.

Officials have not yet determined why the air tank exploded.

Trade union leaders blamed management for allegedly failing to maintain the tank properly.
