Minister Urges Rapid Flood Relief in Telangana
The Telangana government minister, D Sridhar Babu, said that the state needs to act fast to help people who were hurt by heavy rain.
He told officials to clear blocked drains and move water away from homes.
He asked big companies like Singareni and NTPC to help rescue people.

He called for a war‑like effort, removing drainage hurdles and diverting floodwater from residential areas.
He requested support from Singareni, NTPC, Telangana GENCO, RFCL, and Ramagundam police for rescue operations.
Medical camps were to be established in Godavarikhani, Ramagundam, and Veernapalli to treat affected residents.
The minister emphasized consulting local public representatives while planning relief measures.
