Central Gurudwara Sahib Marks Centenary With Hyderabad Marathon
Central Gurudwara Sahib in Gowliguda has been serving people for 100 years.
To celebrate, more than 5,000 people joined a special run in Hyderabad.
There were short 3K and 5K races and a walk for families.
Children, adults and older people all took part.
The event began with exercise and Zumba.
It was called “Run for Faith, Run for Sewa.”
The celebration was also about bringing different communities together.
More religious, cultural and community events are planned during the centenary year.
More than 5,000 people participated in a centenary run for Central Gurudwara Sahib in Gowliguda.
The event at HMDA Grounds near Hussainsagar featured 3K and 5K runs and a family walkathon.
Participants included children, young people, families, senior citizens and people from different communities.
Organised under the theme “Run for Faith, Run for Sewa,” the event celebrated the gurudwara’s 100-year history.
Centenary programmes planned for September include Akhand Path Sahib, Kirtan Darbar and Amrit Sanchar.
