Ola Electric Launches S1Z With In-House LFP Battery Technology
Ola Electric has launched a new electric scooter called the S1Z in India.
It comes with either a smaller 3.1 kWh battery or a larger 5.1 kWh battery.
Ola says the scooters can travel up to 179 km or 301 km, depending on the battery.
The prices start at ₹79,999 before showroom-related charges.
The scooter uses a special LFP battery made with cells developed and manufactured by Ola.
LFP batteries are described as safer and longer-lasting than some other battery types.
The S1Z also has navigation, cruise control, reverse mode and software updates.
The smaller version is expected to be delivered from December 2026, while the larger version follows in March 2027.
