Ola Electric vs Ather Energy: Who wins Q1 FY27 results?
Ola Electric Vs Ather: Which electric 2-wheeler stock is a better bet now? One offers up to 40% upside · financialexpress.com

Two Indian companies that make electric scooters, Ather Energy and Ola Electric, just shared how they performed in the first three months of their financial year.

Ather grew a lot: its money earned went up 89% compared with last year, and it even made a tiny profit for the first time.

Ola also improved compared with the previous three months, but its earnings are still lower than they were a year ago.

Many more people are buying electric scooters in India this year.

Ather sold more scooters than Ola and captured a bigger share of the market.

However, Ola makes more profit on each scooter it sells.

Both companies have big plans, including Ather launching a new scooter and building new factories, and Ola opening stores and making its own batteries.

Building all of this costs money, so both companies raised extra cash from investors.

Different experts disagree about which company's stock is the better buy, with one saying Ather could offer up to 40% upside.

Quotes

Tarun Sanjay Mehta

Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ather Energy

“The first 42,000 units per month will take us about four to five months to ramp up. So, I think by Q4, we should have a very reliable sense of the daily output that we can do out of that plant.”

“We continue to structurally improve our cost structure. I think over the next couple of quarters, this OpEx will come down into the Rs 300‑Rs 325 crore range.”
