Uttar Pradesh Government Transfers 34 IAS Officers, Changes 14 DMs

The Uttar Pradesh government moved many senior government officers to new jobs.

In total, 34 IAS officers were transferred.

The District Magistrates, who manage districts, were changed in 14 places.

Mahendra Singh Tanwar became the new District Magistrate of Kanpur Nagar.

Mangla Prasad Singh left his job as Ballia’s District Magistrate and became head of a cooperative sugar-mills organization.

Other officers were sent to districts such as Moradabad, Hardoi, Etah, Kushinagar and Amethi.

The changes also affected state departments and development authorities.

The government did not give a specific reason for Singh’s transfer.

His earlier work involving properties linked to Mukhtar Ansari was mentioned, but connecting that work to his transfer would be an interpretation.
