Naidu Asks Police to Maintain High Alert, 'Golden Hour' Response

The leader of a big region in India called Andhra Pradesh asked his police officers to work very hard to keep people safe.

His name is N. Chandrababu Naidu.

He told them to be ready to help quickly, within what he calls the 'golden hour.'

He wants officers to keep an eye out for new kinds of bad behaviour, like crimes that happen on phones and computers.

Over the past two years, fewer ordinary crimes have happened in the area.

But the leader says new types of crime are growing, including unfair things called 'digital arrests' and unkind posts on social media.

He wants police to use cameras and science, like DNA testing, to catch bad people.

He also wants police to be very serious about protecting women and to help make roads safer.

The leader says his government will support the police and that they should send out a report every month.
