BSP expels former UP minister Antu Mishra for anti-party activities
In India, there are groups called political parties.
One of them is the Bahujan Samaj Party, or BSP.
The leader of the BSP is a woman named Mayawati.
She was once the leader of a state called Uttar Pradesh.
A man named Anant Kumar Mishra used to look after health in her government.
Mayawati said that Mishra was not being a good team member.
So she told him he could no longer be in the party, which means he was expelled.
Mayawati said this on a social media app called X. She also told other party workers to stay focused and work hard for the party before the next state elections.
BSP chief Mayawati expelled former Uttar Pradesh health minister Anant Kumar Mishra alias Antu Mishra with immediate effect for anti-party activities.
Mayawati announced the expulsion in a post on X.
Mishra served as medical and health minister in the BSP government formed in Uttar Pradesh in 2007.
Mayawati urged BSP workers to stay alert to political opponents' tactics and work with full honesty and dedication ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
Mayawati had previously expelled Ashok Siddharth, father-in-law of her nephew Akash Anand, and coordinator Randhir Singh Beniwal over similar allegations.
