AI Wealth Surges as Adani Reclaims India’s Richest Spot
The Hurun Rich List names some of the wealthiest Indians and people of Indian origin.
This year, 1,810 people were included.

Artificial intelligence appeared as its own category for the first time.

The M3M Hurun India Rich List 2026 includes 1,810 people across 163 cities with wealth of at least ₹1,000 crore.
The list’s combined wealth rose 12.8% to ₹187.5 lakh crore, despite declines in the Nifty 50 and Sensex.
AI debuted as a standalone category with 19 individuals holding ₹3.07 lakh crore, including 15 new entrants.
Gautam Adani and family reclaimed the top position with ₹9.23 lakh crore, surpassing Mukesh Ambani and family at ₹8.63 lakh crore.
Renuka Jagtiani was the biggest new entrant, while 13 of the 19 AI-listed individuals live outside India.
