Karnataka Minister Opens Handloom Heritage Exhibition in Bengaluru
A handloom is a special kind of machine used to make cloth by hand.
LuLu Mall Rajajinagar held an event called “Threads of India” to show how this traditional craft works.
Karnataka Minister Rudrappa Manappa Lamani opened the exhibition.

Working pit looms, frame looms and charkhas demonstrated traditional weaving processes to mall visitors.
The campaign involved LuLu Group Karnataka, educational institutions, design organizations and craft contributors.
Weavers presented the mall with a handwoven silk token featuring the campaign name and exhibition dates.
