Omar Abdullah Slams Pakistan Over Indus Waters Treaty Threat

There is a big disagreement about rivers in a place called Kashmir.

A leader from Kashmir named Omar Abdullah spoke about this problem.

He said Kashmir should have the first right to use its own rivers.

His message was, 'Our rivers, our right first.'

A leader from Pakistan named Shehbaz Sharif recently made a new threat about a special agreement called the Indus Waters Treaty.

This agreement decides how water from the rivers is shared.

Abdullah said Pakistan claims to be a great friend of Kashmiris.

But he said that when it comes to water, Pakistan's friendship seems to disappear.

He also asked why Pakistan did not show sympathy when Kashmiris were told they could not use their rivers.
