AMU Student Dies in Second Suicide Case at University
A 22-year-old student at Aligarh Muslim University was found hanging in a rented home.
Police said he may have died by suicide.
He was studying French in his second year.

A note reportedly said he was struggling and asked his parents to forgive him.
This was the second similar death reported at the university in about four weeks.
The earlier student was a 19-year-old from Kolkata who was found in her hostel room.

Police said the student allegedly died by suicide in Aligarh’s Civil Lines area on Friday.
The student had returned to Aligarh from his hometown in Jammu and Kashmir about four days earlier.
A note reportedly described him as a “loser,” said he could no longer cope, and asked his parents for forgiveness.
The death is the second reported at AMU within four weeks, following a 19-year-old student’s death in a hostel earlier this month.
