First-Year BTech Student Dies After Jaipur Hostel Fall
A first-year engineering student died after allegedly falling from a tall hostel building at NIMS University in Jaipur.
Police identified the student as Ankit Tiwari, who was from Lucknow.
The incident was reported at about 8:30 p.m.
on Tuesday.
He shared a hostel room with two other students.
His roommates were outside the university area when it happened.
Police said he had not attended college for two days.
His phone was found, but investigators could not open it because it was locked.

Ankit Tiwari, a first-year BTech student from Lucknow, died after allegedly jumping from a 15th-floor hostel building at NIMS University in Jaipur.
Police received information about the incident at about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the station house officer.
Tiwari shared a room in the university’s Garnik hostel with two other students, who were away when the incident occurred.
Police said Tiwari had not attended college for the previous two days.
His mobile phone was recovered but remained locked, and police said the investigation was continuing.
