UK Universities Expand in India
The University of Aberdeen, a 500-year-old Scottish university, is opening a new campus in Mumbai, India.
This campus will start admitting students in September 2026 and will offer programs in Business Management, Economics, Data Science, Computing Science, Artificial Intelligence, and an MBA.
The university is offering a Rs 2 lakh scholarship for students who apply by January 31.
The degrees from the Mumbai campus will be the same as those from the Scottish campus, and students will have the option to spend a semester in Scotland.
The campus will be located in Powai and will have modern facilities.
Admissions will be based on academic background and subject readiness, not on entrance exams like JEE or CUET.
Meanwhile, the University of Glasgow is offering a 15,000 euro scholarship to Indian students for the academic year 2026-2027.
This scholarship is for students aiming to study a one-year, full-time master's in fields like Banking, Finance, Analytics, Economics, and Human Resource Management.
The university aims to strengthen its ties with India through new academic partnerships and scholarships.
Selected candidates will be notified by March 6 and May 29, 2026, respectively.
