Mumbai Police say a man pretended that a crime gang was threatening Salman Khan.

Police allege he created fake identities and WhatsApp messages.

They say he did this to frighten Salman and get money.

Police also seized screenshots of the alleged fake chats.

The accused allegedly received about Rs 1.30 lakh through PhonePe.

He later collected the money in cash in Bandra.
