South Zone-I CBSE Archery Championships Begin in Kurnool
A large school archery competition has started in Kurnool.
It includes more than 2,000 students from about 650 schools.
The students come from different parts of South India.
The competition will last for three days.
The event was opened by TG Venkatesh and other officials.
Students are testing their accuracy and skills in different archery categories.
Venkatesh said sports are as important as schoolwork for growing children.
He also said archery can teach focus, patience, confidence, and discipline.
More than 2,000 student archers from about 650 South Indian schools are competing.
The three-day South Zone-I CBSE Archery Championships began Sunday at Ridge School in Kurnool.
Former Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh and other officials inaugurated the event.
Participants are competing in multiple archery categories, emphasizing precision, discipline, and sportsmanship.
TG Venkatesh said archery and sports develop concentration, patience, confidence, discipline, and cultural understanding.
