The caller falsely accused him of accepting bribes.

The caller demanded ₹5 lakh and threatened to stop his pension.

Worried, the retired official sent ₹2 lakh online.

The next day, another caller asked for the remaining ₹3 lakh.

This made him realize that the callers were criminals.

He reported the incident to the police.

Police are tracking the suspects and examining the money transfers.

Officials advised people to report similar threats quickly.
