People can buy steam rice for Rs 52 per kilogram and raw rice for Rs 50 per kilogram.

The amount each Aadhaar or ration card can buy has increased from 10 kg to 26 kg.

The counters are open in the morning and afternoon.

Officials will check the rice quality, weight and prices.

Civil Supplies and Marketing officials will work with rice millers to keep the counters supplied.
