Samajwadi Party Replaces Two Candidates in Uttar Pradesh Council Polls

The Samajwadi Party changed two of its candidates for upcoming council elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Akash Agarwal will run in the Agra Teachers Constituency.

Sanjayan Tripathi will run in the Gorakhpur-Faizabad Teachers Constituency.

They replace Prakash Chandra Gupta and Kamlesh Yadav.

Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said the former candidates agreed to the changes.

He also criticized the BJP government over education and voter registration.

Voting is set for October 23.

The votes will be counted on October 27.
