A4 Liquor Shop Renewals Draw Strong Response Ahead Of Deadline
Liquor shops in the State are deciding whether to renew their licences for 2026-27.
So far, 1,970 of the 3,652 shops have chosen to renew.
Of those, 1,220 shops have paid all or part of the required charges.
The payments have brought in Rs 403.25 crore.
Some shops paid the full amount, while others paid only part of it.
Many shops have not yet chosen to renew, and some renewing shops have not paid anything.
The Excise Department is watching the process closely.
The deadline for renewal is September 21.
A total of 1,970 of Andhra Pradesh’s 3,652 A4 liquor shops have opted for renewal for 2026-27.
Of those shops, 1,220 have made full or partial payments, generating Rs 403.25 crore.
Payments include Rs 236.48 crore in renewal RET and application fees, Rs 145.03 crore in annual RET, and Rs 21.81 crore in permit room RET.
As many as 686 shops made full payments and 534 made partial payments, while 750 renewing shops have yet to pay.
The September 21 deadline is approaching, with 1,682 shops still yet to opt for renewal.
