UP Special TET 2026 Registration Opens September 5 With Exam Details
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has announced a special teacher test for 2026.
Registration opens on September 5 and ends on October 4.
Applicants must first complete One-Time Registration, or OTR.
The test is for teachers working with children in Classes 1 to 5 or Classes 6 to 8.
Eligible special educators can also apply.
The exam will be held on November 3 using paper answer sheets called OMR sheets.
Each paper has 150 questions and takes 150 minutes.
Wrong answers will not reduce marks.
The test follows court-related requirements for some working teachers to pass a TET.
UPESSC issued the UP Special TET 2026 notification on September 3 under Advertisement No. 03/2026.
Online registration runs from September 5 to October 4, 2026, after candidates complete One-Time Registration.
The offline, OMR-based examination is scheduled for November 3, with corrections on October 8 and admit cards on November 1.
The test covers Primary Classes 1–5 and Upper Primary Classes 6–8, including eligible special educators working with children with special needs.
Each paper has 150 multiple-choice questions, carries 150 marks, lasts 150 minutes, and has no negative marking.
