Amritsar Police Crack Down on Drug Cartels, Seize 111 kg Heroin
The police in Amritsar, a city on the border of Punjab, India, have been very busy fighting drug smuggling.
Since January, they found more than 111 kilograms of heroin and stopped many people who were selling drugs.
They also broke up a drug group from Dubai that used drones to bring drugs across the border.
The police arrested more than 1,800 people and took many guns and weapons.
They also helped people who need help to stop using drugs by sending them to special treatment centers.
Over 111 kg of heroin recovered in Amritsar since January.
1,137 NDPS cases registered and 1,898 accused arrested.
Dubai‑based drug cartel dismantled; 30 kg seized, six arrested.
2,000+ accused detained, 82,274 traffic challans issued, ₹44.48 lakh fines collected.
