Four Killed in Lightning Strikes in West Midnapore, West Bengal
On a stormy day in a part of India called West Bengal, lightning struck in several places.
Lightning is a giant electric spark that comes from storm clouds, and it is very dangerous.
Four people who were outside during the storm were hit by lightning and sadly died.
Three other women were hurt by the lightning as well.
Some of the people were working in a farm field when the storm arrived.
This happened in an area called West Midnapore district.
Police shared the news about what happened.
Weather experts said more big storms were coming to the same areas over the next few days.
They predicted heavy rain in many districts of south and north Bengal.
The storms were linked to a monsoon weather pattern and a cyclonic circulation in the region.

Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain hit several south Bengal districts, including West Burdwan, East Burdwan, Hooghly and Birbhum.
More heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast across south and north Bengal in the coming days, with improvement expected from Sunday.
