Karimnagar District Faces Floods from Continuous Rainfall
Continuous Rainfall Disrupts Normal Life In Karimnagar District · deccanchronicle.com

A lot of rain fell in the Karimnagar district in India, starting on Tuesday night and going on into Wednesday.

The rain made small streams and rivulets overflow, flooding towns like Jagtial and Korutla.

Because of the water, cars couldn’t drive between Jagtial and Dharmapuri, so traffic was rerouted.

In the nearby coal mining area, the rain filled the quarries and made the roads muddy, so the mines had to stop working.

In Godavarikhani town, low places got underwater and water even went under railway bridges.

The heavy rain also helped fill up the River Godavari and some irrigation projects, giving water to farms.

Two dams, Lower Manair and Mid Manair, also got extra water from the rain.
