Govt Jobs for Terror Victims' Kin New Chapter in Justice
A leader named Manoj Sinha gave out special papers on Wednesday.
Sinha leads a region in India called Jammu and Kashmir.
The papers let 37 families start new government jobs.
These families lost someone they loved to bad people called terrorists.
Some of these families waited for more than 30 years for this moment.
Sinha said no job can replace the person they lost, but the government will keep helping.
He said more than 41,000 people have died because of terrorism over the years.
He also praised the police, the army and other security forces who fight terrorism.
He said he wants peace so that no more families have to suffer.
J&K Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha handed government appointment letters to 37 next of kin of civilians killed by terrorists at SKICC in Srinagar on Wednesday.
The event fell on the seventh anniversary of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, when Jammu and Kashmir became a union territory and Ladakh a separate UT.
Sinha recalled Union Home Minister Amit Shah's 2019 Parliament address stating that more than 41,000 lives had been lost to terrorism over the years.
Wali Mohammad Wani of Shopian, killed on July 16, 1993, saw his family get justice after 33 years, while some beneficiaries waited nearly 35 years.
Sinha said over 890 Central laws have been extended to J&K and that investment in the UT reached ₹5,824 crore in FY 2025-26.
