Singareni Sets Daily Coal Supply Plan for Telangana Power Plants
Singareni supplies coal to power plants that make electricity in Telangana.
Telangana GENCO needs more coal because people are using more electricity.
Officials said dry weather linked to El Niño has increased power demand.
They made a plan to supply 75,500 tonnes of coal each day.
Most of the coal will travel by trains, and the rest will move by road.
The officials checked how much coal each plant needs and how to improve deliveries.
They will share updates daily and work together to solve transport problems.
The goal is to keep electricity generation running without interruptions.
SCCL and Telangana GENCO plan to supply 75,500 tonnes of coal daily to thermal power plants.
The plan allocates 56,000 tonnes for rail transport through 14 daily rakes and 19,500 tonnes by road.
Daily requirements listed were 24,000 tonnes for Kothagudem, 4,500 tonnes for Kakatiya, 15,000 tonnes for Bhadradri and 34,000 tonnes for Yadadri.
SCCL reported supplying 15.02 lakh tonnes to GENCO plants through September 28, up 31% from the same period last year.
Officials attributed higher power demand to dry weather associated with El Niño and agreed to strengthen daily coordination on transport and coal quality.
