Southern Railway Announces Train Diversions in Madurai
Southern Railway has announced that several trains will be diverted and one train will be rescheduled in the Madurai Division during January 2026.
This is because they need to do some maintenance work.
The trains will skip some stops like Madurai and Dindigul but will stop at other places like Aruppukkottai and Karaikkudi.
Passengers are advised to check the updated schedules before they travel.
The Madurai–Bikaner Express will also be delayed by 25 minutes on January 8, 2026.

Multiple long-distance trains will be diverted, skipping stops at Madurai, Sholavandan, Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, and Manapparai.
Additional stoppages will be provided at Aruppukkottai, Manamadurai, Sivaganga, Karaikkudi, and Pudukkottai.
Train No. 22631 Madurai–Bikaner Express will be rescheduled by 25 minutes on January 8, 2026.
