Naidu Rebukes Banks Over Delayed Resolution of SLBC Issues

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met with banks to review their work in Andhra Pradesh.

He was unhappy that some decisions from the previous meeting had not been completed.

Bankers said they had acted on nine of 13 issues, while four were still being processed.

Naidu said banks should make loans and services available to every eligible person.

He especially wanted more loans for small businesses and tenant farmers.

The meeting also reviewed agricultural loans and loans for solar-power applications.

Self-Help Groups received large amounts of credit and had a repayment rate above 99 per cent.

Naidu also asked banks and police to work together to warn people about cyber fraud.
