First Ebola Vaccine Trial Begins in Oxford
Scientists at Oxford University have created a new vaccine to fight Ebola, a dangerous disease.
They tested it on a volunteer named Ed Hunt.
This vaccine was made very quickly, in just eight weeks.
The vaccine is called ChAdOx1 BDBV and uses the same technology as the Covid-19 vaccine made by AstraZeneca.
The Serum Institute of India has already made 620,000 doses of this vaccine.
The trial will check if the vaccine is safe and works well.
If it does, they plan to test it more in Uganda.
