Sharma, Lahiri Lead Indian Charge at DP World India Championship
A big golf tournament called the DP World India Championship is coming to India.
Two of India's finest golfers, Shubhankar Sharma and Anirban Lahiri, will play in it.
They will compete at the Delhi Golf Club in New Delhi, a famous and historic course.
The tournament lasts four days, from October 15 to 18, and the prize money is USD 4 million.
Many of the world's best golfers, including Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood, will join them.
Shubhankar won his first big DP World Tour event when he was just 21 years old.
He has also played golf for India at the Olympic Games.
Anirban has won 18 international golf tournaments in his career.
The event is part of a special series of tournaments called the Race to Dubai.
For both players, playing at home in front of Indian fans makes it extra special.
Shubhankar Sharma and Anirban Lahiri will lead the Indian challenge at the second edition of the DP World India Championship.
The USD 4 million event runs October 15-18 at Delhi Golf Club and is the eighth of nine Back 9 tournaments in the 2026 Race to Dubai.
The elite field includes Rory McIlroy, newly crowned Open champion Ryan Fox, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, Luke Donald, Viktor Hovland, and defending champion Tommy Fleetwood.
Sharma, 30, won the Joburg Open at age 21 to become the youngest Indian winner on the DP World Tour and has six PGTI titles.
Lahiri's 18 international victories include the 2015 Indian Open, won in a playoff against S.S.P. Chawrasia.
