Cauvery Inflow At Hogenakkal Rises To 12,500 Cusecs
A river called the Cauvery flows through the south of India.
Near a place called Hogenakkal, the river makes big waterfalls.
People who take care of the area noticed the water level going up.
That is because dams in another state, Karnataka, are letting out extra water.
Dams are big walls that hold water, and when they have too much water, they release some of it.
On Saturday, the river had about 4,500 cusecs of water flowing in.
A cusec is a way to measure how much water flows every second.
By Monday, the water coming in had risen a lot, to 12,500 cusecs.
