Racket using fake IDs for jungle safari tickets busted
Some people were caught using fake ID cards to book jungle safari tickets that were meant for local people.
The forest department found out that these fake IDs had photos of people who were not from the local area.
They also found that some people were charging a lot of money to promise safari trips.
The forest department is going to take legal action against those involved.
They are also going to check everyone's IDs more carefully in the future to make sure this doesn't happen again.
A racket was busted for using fake Aadhaar cards to book safari tickets under the local quota at Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve.
Seven tickets were booked using five different fake IDs on December 19.
Nine out of 23 tourists were found with discrepancies in their Aadhaar card photos and details.
The remaining 10 tourists refused to produce their identity proofs.
An FIR was filed at the Durgapur police station on December 30, and strict legal action will be taken against the involved individuals.
