Pixel 11 Brings AirDrop-like Quick Share Feature to Android

Google has made a new way for Android phones to share things.

This new feature is called Quick Share, and people can also call it 'tap to share.'

If you want to send a friend's contact information, you can just hold your phone close to another phone.

For photos and videos, you open the share menu and then bring the two phones together.

The phones talk to each other using something called NFC, which is a special short-range wireless connection.

Google says NFC works faster and is safer than Bluetooth when phones are close together.

The contact sharing part will work on Pixel 6 phones and newer models.

Samsung's foldable phones will get it soon too.

Google hopes to add this feature to Android phones by the end of this year.

The new Pixel 11 phones are coming out, and sales officially start on August 20.
