Central, Arunachal teams intensify measures to contain FMD outbreak

Some animals, like cattle, Mithuns, pigs and goats, in a place called Dibang Valley got very sick with a disease called Foot and Mouth Disease, which gives them sores in their mouths and on their feet.

Special doctor teams, called Rapid Response Teams, came to help the sick animals.

A big team of experts from the central government also arrived to see how the disease was spreading.

They visited many villages and farms, gave medicines to sick animals, and collected samples to study in a laboratory.

They even checked the animals at a camp of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police.

The experts talked to farmers and village leaders about keeping the disease from spreading.

The teams will stay in the district until all the animals are better, and more helpers can be sent if needed.

The doctors protect animals with a vaccine given twice a year, and they asked farmers to report sick animals quickly and follow cleanliness rules.

This helps keep both the animals and the farmers' livelihoods safe.
