Mumbai RTO to launch MH01FL two-wheeler registration series August 10
Mumbai's transport office is getting a new set of number plates for motorcycles and scooters.
The old set of number plates is almost all used up.
So the RTO is starting a new series called MH01FL.
It begins on August 10.
People who want a special or lucky number can ask for it before 12 noon on that day.
If two people want the same special number, the RTO holds a small auction to decide who gets it.
People have to bring documents like an ID card, address proof, a PAN card, and the receipt from buying their vehicle.
Once you get a special number, you have 180 days to finish registering your vehicle.
That gives you about half a year to get everything done.
Mumbai RTO (Central) will introduce the MH01FL registration series for private two-wheelers from August 10.
The new series is being launched as the existing MH01FK series is nearing exhaustion.
Applications to reserve preferred or fancy registration numbers must be submitted by 12 noon on August 10 at Counter E-11.
If more than one applicant requests the same number, it will be allotted through an auction at 2 pm on the same day.
Reserved numbers remain valid for 180 days, and applicants must submit photo identity proof, address proof, PAN card, and vehicle purchase receipt.
